The Level 1 Certification is a structured professional development pathway that introduces participants to the foundations of the Fit 4 All program. Designed for practitioners, educators, and caregivers, this certification provides the essential knowledge and applied strategies to begin implementing wellness interventions with fidelity.

The Level 1 Certification is divided into four core courses:

  • Background: Understanding Obesity and Health Disparities – Learn about the prevalence, risk factors, and secondary health conditions associated with obesity, with a focus on individuals with developmental disabilities. This course connects public health recommendations to the unique needs of this population (1 CEU).

  • Assessment – Gain hands-on training in the Fit 4 All Assessment Battery, including tools to measure nutrition, exercise, physiological health, and mental health. Participants practice using data to establish baselines and inform individualized treatment planning (3 CEUs).

  • Treatment Planning – Learn how to set measurable wellness goals, identify effective reinforcers through preference assessments, and design reinforcement systems (e.g., token economies, shaping procedures) to increase engagement and success (3 CEUs).

  • Curriculum & Programming – Explore the Fit 4 All Curriculum Guide, which includes modules on nutrition, exercise routines, hydration, and mental health strategies. This course emphasizes the “train-the-trainer” model to ensure generalization across caregivers and settings (3 CEUs).

Upon completion, participants receive Level 1 Certification, demonstrating their ability to apply Fit 4 All strategies in everyday practice.

The Pro Certification is designed for advanced learners and organizations committed to implementing Fit 4 All with the highest level of fidelity and measurable outcomes. Building on Level 1, Pro uses a Behavior Skills Training (BST) model that emphasizes real-world application, feedback, and mastery.

Key Features of Pro:

  • Hands-On Training – Participants go beyond theory, actively practicing implementation of Fit 4 All assessments, reinforcement systems, and curriculum components in their own settings.

  • Video Submissions – Learners upload video demonstrations of themselves conducting assessments, running token systems, or teaching wellness skills.

  • Expert Feedback – The Fit 4 All training team provides individualized coaching, corrective feedback, and skill refinement to ensure interventions are applied accurately and effectively.

  • Advanced Clinical Decision-Making – Training emphasizes ongoing data analysis, troubleshooting barriers, and adapting interventions for diverse client needs.

  • Implementation at Scale – Pro prepares participants to lead Fit 4 All programs within clinics, schools, and community organizations, equipping them to train and support other providers.

Graduates of Pro Certification emerge as advanced practitioners capable of not only delivering Fit 4 All with fidelity but also modeling and training others, helping to expand access to research-driven wellness programming across communities.
